It is always an option to fix registry issues and errors by uninstalling hardware or software that is causing an error, and then reinstalling it. This actually works on occasion as corrupted and damaged keys and values are removed and valid ones are reinstalled. There is though an issue with this approach. Half of the problems that occur within a registry occur through the installation and uninstalling of applications. It is unusual for an install to overwrite the files it is supposed to. All that normally happens is that additional keys and values are left within the registry making the computer run even slower than it was. Files corruption is also a common result of this process, and all this will do is result in even more errors occurring within the computer. Another way to fix errors within a Windows registry is to undertake a system restore. Luckily the latest versions of Windows operating systems, Windows XP and Vista, have the ability to create restore points. These systems can back up the whole computer, including the Windows registry. This is great if anything goes wrong with your computer, as you can bring back the computer to a position before the issue impacted on your computer. This approach though is reliant on knowing when errors started impacting on your machine, and it does not guarantee that the same errors are going to happen again. HOW ABOUT AN EASY FIX?
